In addition to the above subjects, a third year project was required. Being a sponsored student by GEC AEI Cables, mine was to design & build an automatic weighing system. The system was intended for a number of extruder machines, that use a mix of chemicals (many that are toxic or flammable) all provided from a central weighing room, in order to put a plastic sheath around power cables.
